Overview
The Babolat Pure Drive Cortex + Tennis Racquet is an extended 27.5 inch version that helps provide more reach and pop on the serve and groundstrokes. The Pure Drive Cortex + has the same specs and plays just as comfortable and stable as the standard version. The Pure Drive series racquets are the number one choice of Babolat's professional players and include Babolat's Cortex System and Woofer Technologies. The Pure Drive Cortex tennis racquet is also offered in a standard length and in a 107 sq. inch headsize.
Best Suited For: All around players with sound strokes seeking an extended racquet with a good blend of power, control, spin and comfort. Recommended for 4.0+ level players.
Cortex System: An active vibration filter customized to player level needs and acts as an interface between the handle and frame. The two parts of the racquet are actively linked by the C.D.S (Cortex Damping System) which filters and dampens vibrations interfering with feel, to enhance the feel of the ball. It is the first technology customized to filter the different types of vibrations. High frequency vibrations which interfere with feel are filtered out and only the vibrations providing feel (low frequency vibrations) are maintained.
Woofer Technology: A patented innovation by Babolat, Woofer is the first technology which makes the frame and the strings interact when striking the ball. This technology adds 25% more contact time between the ball and strings, which in turn generates more power, more control and spin, a more comfortable feel and a larger sweetspot area.
