Overview

The Babolat Pure Drive Roddick + Tennis Racquet is Andy Roddick's racquet of choice. Designed around the actual weight of Roddick's racquet, the Pure Drive Roddick + offers more power and stability than the previously popular Pure Drive + because it is slightly stiffer and heavier. The added length provides more reach and pop on serves compared to the standard length. The Pure Drive Roddick + still provides a maneuverable feel for increased racquet speed and ample spin and control due to its forgiving sweetspot and open string pattern. The Pure Drive Roddick series racquets include Babolat's Cortex System and Woofer Technologies. The Pure Drive Roddick + is also offered in a standard length.
Best Suited For: All around players with sound strokes seeking an extended racquet with professional specs and good blend of power, control, spin and comfort. Recommended for 4.0+ level players.
Cortex System: An active vibration filter customized to player level needs and acts as an interface between the handle and frame. The two parts of the racquet are actively linked by the C.D.S (Cortex Damping System) which filters and dampens vibrations interfering with feel, to enhance the feel of the ball. It is the first technology customized to filter the different types of vibrations. High frequency vibrations which interfere with feel are filtered out and only the vibrations providing feel (low frequency vibrations) are maintained.
Woofer Technology: A patented innovation by Babolat, Woofer is the first technology which makes the frame and the strings interact when striking the ball. This technology adds 25% more contact time between the ball and strings, which in turn generates more power, more control and spin, a more comfortable feel and a larger sweetspot area.
