Babolat Pure Control Tour Tennis Racquet

The Pure Control line is the updated edition of the popular Pure Storm racquets that control players love. These racquets are also the favorites of both Samantha Stosur and Ryan Harrison. These are made for players with a long fast swing who want a flexible strict with a longer contact time between ball and racquet, for perfect control. The black and orange aesthetics provides a striking and appealing look that is somewhat classic and will end putting your opponent on their toes.

The Pure Control is constructed with Flex Carbon which Babolat developed to have less density carbon fibers for more flexibility. To put this in perspective, the Pure Storm had 6000 carbon fibers whereas the Pure Control has 3000. This results in the Pure Control offering more control at ball impact but with what seems to be a lighter frame.

This racquet features GT Technology, which gives the already popular racquet frame added stability, with reduced torque and improved precision. There is also the woofer system installed in the grommets and bumper which provides 25% more contact time between the ball and strings to offer a bit more control and comfortable feel. This results in less friction and more flexibility in shots whether they are purely flat or with a lot of spin.

The Pure Control Tour boasts the same 16x20 string pattern as its lighter sibling but makes increases the weight and head light balance, allowing players to focus primarily on control. The downside to this is that it is recommended that players with strength produce their own power for this racquet focuses more on accuracy than pop. What our play testers were surprised with is how easy spin is generated with this racquet and our baseliners really enjoyed how maneuverable and inviting this racquet was when going to the net.

Best suited for: Intermediate to advanced players who want a precision based racquet and can easily produce their
